How We Protect
You Online

Online banking has grown by over 47% in the past 5 years. As you enjoy the convenience of this service, know that we are continually enhancing our security features to ensure that your information is safe and secure. Here are some ways we are doing that today:

  • Password Verification: Affinity uses password verification to ensure that only authorized users may log into our Internet Home Banking system. For added security, if a password is entered incorrectly three times, we automatically suspend access to that account until the owner contacts us and is properly verified. See our Internet Home Banking FAQs for information on how to create a strong password.
  • Enhanced Login Security: Instead of entering just your Member ID and Password when you log in, Enhanced Login Security asks you to establish challenge questions for identification verification, and register computers frequently used to access Internet Home Banking.
  • Home Banking "Time Out": We also "time out" any Internet Home Banking session after a specified period of inactivity. This keeps others from viewing your account information or continuing to use Internet Home Banking should you leave your computer unattended.
  • Encryption: One of the most basic tools used to ensure Internet security is encryption. Encryption involves exchanging unique and complex information between your browser and our Internet Home Banking system. This information acts as a key to "unlock" the connection, much like numbers on a combination lock. The higher the number of combinations, the less likely it is that an outside party could decipher the key and access sensitive information.
  • Identity Theft 911™: We're proud to be the first financial institution in the state of New Jersey to provide comprehensive identity theft resolution services free to all of our members. Visit our Identity Theft 911™ mini-site for more information.
