Important: Tax Filing and 2009 IRA Contribution Deadline Extended to May 11, 2010
IRS tax filing deadline has been extended to May 11, 2010 for all residents in NJ counties affected by the flooding last month. As President Obama has declared the following counties federal disaster areas qualifying for assistance, the IRS is extending the filing deadline for individuals and businesses for filing returns and making contributions to an IRA:
Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Somerset and Union counties.
